AN AVATAR OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is a self-professed democratic socialist. The 29-year-old freshman House member's progressive platform includes Medicare for all, a federal jobs guarantee, abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, free public college, and the Green New Deal. Members of the press call her brilliant! They celebrated her sharpness as exemplary during the Michael Cohen hearing. Juxtapose her straight forwardness to her colleagues winded speeches that make it appear like they are fighting for the people when really, they're not.
She is fantastic because she is focused on what she was elected to do. AOC has become the boss of the Democratic Party and she's been a member of Congress for all of two months. Amazing. Rarely in national politics have we seen anyone fly so high so quickly.
ON THE OTHER HAND, AOC may be a one and done U.S. Representative. Whoopi Goldberg chastised Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for "pooping on people". While conservatives know the dangers of socialism, that the urge to save humanity is a false face for the urge to rule it, it is possible that her constituents will recognize her true colors as a result of such bold proclamations as, "I'm the boss!"
THE CHAIRMAN, an intellectual man who doesn't know how to park a bike, has called a debate to settle the topic:
RESOLVED: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the future of the Democratic Party!
The Debate will be held on March 20, 2019, at Shamrocks Grill & Pub, 995 7th Street W., St. Paul (West 7th near Randolph Ave.)
