"There is very little difference between men and women. But viva la difference!"             ― Pepe Le Pew, Actor

MEN ARE MEN and women are women. Conservatives hold this truth to be self-evident, that men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Roles: Defenders of Life and Liberty; Protectors of the Weak; Champions of Truth and Justice. In ways that only men can.

This is not to say Conservatives believe men are better than women – but different. Men need women. Women need men. Conservatives know women are not powerless. Indeed, Conservatives respect the saying, “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world,” and recite the wise old saw, “Happy wife, happy life.” Ultimately, it is this male/female cooperation that makes society function, and, yes, perpetuates the species.

ON THE OTHER HAND, are conservatives – even female conservatives – inviting the label “male supremacists”? Isn’t there room in the heads – and the hearts – of modern, caring, sensitive conservatives for even just a little of the feminine? As the broader society changes, are Conservatives content to be defined by those who would condemn us as sexist “cavemen” and the barefoot women baking their cookies?

THE CHAIRMAN, fresh from a bubble bath, his head cleared by his favorite essential oils, in the meantime has called a debate to settle the topic:

RESOLVED: Conservatives Are Masculinists.

The Debate will be held on October 5, 2024, at the Dahdah residence, 6166 Jarvis Avenue N., Stillwater, MN, a cigar-friendly venue.

The Chancellor will preside over drinks and cigars beginning at seven o’clock p.m. The debate will begin at half past seven. There is no dress code, however gentlemen who wish to speak must wear a tie; ladies are encouraged to adhere to a similar sartorial standard. For those gentlemen arriving sans tie yet wishing to discourse on the resolution, the Purveyor of Ties will keep on hand several remarkable selections.

Questions regarding debate caucus procedures or about the John Adams Society itself may be directed to the Chairman at (281)229-3671 or the Secretary at (651) 485-1699.
